Start with very narrow bands that work independently and mold to tapered mics so there is no movement.  The narrow bands also benefit the sound output, because the less contact with the mic, the better the mic works! Then, consider you can order any or all 3 of the different sized cages and interchange them as needed. These shocks all look essentially the same, just the diameter is different. All metal construction, natural silver built specifically to hold medium diameter to larger mics in rough studio work. The QM-16 fits 1.9-2.0" (48-51mm) The QM-165 fits 2-2.15" (51-54mm) The QM-17 fits 2.15-2.26" (55-58mm)
