New technology high-res diaphragm drive units, precise highs and powerful lows. The straight story..: These headphones really surprised me. Cranked up, they have many of the same sound qualities of the QM-980, at a much lower price. The ear cushion isn't quite as nice, and it doesn't quite hit all the highs, but for a much better price, it's really, really close. For my personal use, I'd never hesitate to use the QM-680 and feel fully confident I'm hearing everything I need to. The highs are good, the lows sound sharp and solid and the vocals are excellent. While our QM-980 is certainly an upgrade, if you're like many of us and are on a budget, feel confident these will serve your needs quite well!
